Explore the Seasons of I Love You All Year Round
I partnered with Power Moms Media to bring you this post, all opinions are my own.
Books can take you to amazing places, or at least that’s how I’ve always felt. We are a family full of readers and although during my college days I strayed from reading for pleasure, it was a breath of fresh air when I started reading again with my kids. We have a routine every night, as I’m sure most do, which always ends in a bedtime snuggle and book. Of course, we have our favorite reads, but we are ALWAYS open to recommendations. If you are looking for a new book for your rotation, be sure to add “I Love You All Year Round” by Sam McBratney and published by Candlewick Press.
“I Love You All Year Round” is a collection of four different stories, starting with Spring and flows through all the seasons, concluding with Winter. You’ll follow along on the adventures of Big and Little Nutbrown Hare, the same characters featured from the timeless classic Guess How Much I Love You, also written by Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram. Whether you are looking for the perfect Christmas gift for that special child in your life or are a teacher planning to expand your collection of books depicting the seasons, this is a must have for you!
The Nutbrown Hares discover the fun of each season. Little Nutbrown Hare has many questions in Spring about the changes and life stages of seeds, tadpoles, caterpillars, and birds. Next, Little Nutbrown hare discovers all the vibrant colors of summer. Autumn brings flying leaves and a fun game with the autumn wind. The last story closes with a fun game of “I spy” in the winter snow. Each season concludes with a message of love between Big and Little Nutbrown Hare. What could be better?!
