Vegas Places to Stay- Delano Las Vegas
When you think of Vegas, you can’t help but think of the hotels! Lumia knew exactly how to #MakeItHappen when they sent the #PoweredByLumia team to Delano- Las Vegas. If you’re traveling to Vegas and want the perfect combination of contemporary, yet homey, Delano Las Vegas is the place for you.
The high-end design concept runs through your bones from the moment you step through the front door and omits a sleek and classy essence that seeps into your skin. The white linens hanging from ceiling to floor with adjacent contemporary candles made me feel like I was a modern Cleopatra and should be lying with grapes dangling in front of my face.
I became OBESSED with the rock piece hanging in the middle of the lobby. I just wanted to touch ONE out of the hundreds of rocks descending from the ceiling on wires (which I totally did, but shhhh don’t tell). Even if you’re not staying at Delano, I’d definitely suggest adding the rock art to your Vegas Must See List!
My room had a breathtaking view, overlooking the extremely cool pyramid in the middle of the dessert (also known as the Luxor hotel and casino) making me feeling even more like an A-list celebrity! Plus the Delano left nothing to chance, and had the hottest of hot with its food and drink spots. Mix at Delano was one of my favorite restaurants, read more about it here. Our meal was amazing and the view was breathtaking. I hope to come back to the Delano just to go to dinner at Mix again.
My favorite features of the Delano:
The hotel lighting: Lights are a MAJOR issue with my brain injury so I’m extremely sensitive to the brightness and sounds (like the humming of fluorescents) of lights. While the hotel is clean and crisp, its not a blinding and overpowering white. I didn’t have to squint or wear my sunglasses as I walked through the hotel which is almost impossible for me if I’m anywhere outside my house.
Plenty of elevators: Again, with a brain injury, you sort of look at amenities a little bit differently. I never thought twice about elevators, now I pray there are multiple elevator options and come often enough that 50 people aren’t trying to cram in the first one that comes. While there was rarely heavy traffic in the elevator area, it was still nice to know chances are I’d only have a few elevator friends each trip.
Casinofree: It seems like every hotel in Vegas is complete with their own casino. I LOVED that the Delano stayed true to their luxurious roots and left the casinos at a (very short) walking distance. I didn’t have to worry about the lights (see above) or any crazy ringing, bells going off, etc. It was a very peaceful and relaxing retreat back “home” aka our hotel.
Walking distance to the action: If you want to be part of “Vegas” you can walk right over (without going outside) to Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. It’s a quick pass by Della’s Kitchen and BAM you are standing by Michael Jackson One by Cirque Du Soleil. Gambling in Mandalay Bay and Luxor are both super close (as in- they are attached), plus you have all the Mandalay Bay shops and restaurants.
Bathhouse Spa: I.JUST.CANT begin to describe how absolutely amazed I was by this spa. It was the first time EVER I actually had my spa service and then hung out for a couple HOURS. I literally did not want to leave and even SHOWERED and got ready in the spa. That’s literally unheard of in my book. You can hear more about my obsession with Bathhouse Spa here.
Mix at Delano: I mentioned before this was one of my favorite restaurants, but I just loved it too much not to mention again. Our meal was amazing and the view overlooking the Vegas strip was breathtaking. Mix is definitely on the top of my list of Vegas restaurants.
Staying at the Delano has set my expectations so high I don’t see how I’ll ever be able to stay anywhere else in Vegas! Microsoft Lumia literally pulled out all the stops during this Vegas trip and knew exactly how to #MakeItHappen. See what else we did here!
Disclosure- Microsoft Lumia sponsored this trip to CES and all of its awesomeness!
That looks so pretty!
