Celebrate your next Milestone at Tradewinds in St Pete Beach!

For my in-laws’ 50th Wedding Anniversary we celebrated with the ultimate family vacation and stayed at Tradewinds resort in St Pete Beach, Florida. Our trip was filled with laughing, fun, and endless memories- better than any 50th Anniversary Party!

There were a total of twenty of us, with the grandkids ranging from seven to twenty-six. Tradewinds offers the options of rooms or villas for your stay. The villas made traveling with a large party so convenient, we were able to fit everyone in one 2-bedroom villa and one 3-bedroom villa. Each villa included a full kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and dishwasher! Overall the rooms were beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to get ready and seating for us all to enjoy each other’s company before turning in for the night.

Tradewinds is comprised of two resorts- the Island Grand (where we stayed) and RumFish which is right next door. As a guest, you have full access to both resorts, which means 40 total beachfront acres, 9 pools, over 600 cabanas, and over a dozen restaurants and bars on site. The beach is absolutely breathtaking and I promise, you will want to spend as much time there as possible!

Each bedroom is provided a cabana for the duration of your stay, so you never have to worry about rushing down to the beach to grab a spot. The two bedroom villa included two cabanas and the three bedroom villa offered three cabanas. The best part was renting cabanas the day before right online! The total process takes a little over a minute. If you want to upgrade to a front row cabana, you pay a $15 upgrade fee and book it right online. No worries if you are having so much fun you forget to book your cabana! Just head down to the beach and the amazing staff will get you all set up. It was incredible to have a home base everyday while we were at the beach in one of the luxurious cabanas.

Tradewinds is located on Gulf Boulevard, but with all of the restaurants and bars on property, you never have to leave the resort! We decided to celebrate the 50th Anniversary at Palm Court Italian Grill on the Island Grand property. The robust menu filled with authentic Italian favorites combined with dining under the stars makes it easy to see why Palm Court Italian Grill is ranked in St. Pete’s Top Restaurants.

RumFish Grill on the RumFish property is another must eat at Tradewinds. The under-the-sea atmosphere which includes a 33,500-gallon aquarium is perfect whether you are dining with kids or adults! You may find the aquarium familiar as it was featured on Animal Planet’s TV show “Tanked”! My kids loved being able to walk through the beautifully painted mural of the sea and read all of the information about the sea life. You can actually SWIM with the fish in the aquarium at RumFish Grill.

Upon arrival, you’ll receive a special Tradewinds wristband that gives you full access to all of the amenities included in your stay. Some of our favorite memories for this 50th Anniversary Celebration include watching the sunset, laughing by the fire pits and soaking in every second of the beach, whether it was during the day or or one of the gorgeous sunsets.

I highly suggest utilizing the resort photographer for photos on the beach. We captured amazing photos of the entire family for my in-laws and I know that is something they will treasure forever!
