Indulge in Your Shopping with Boscov’s Spring Collection

In our house spring cleaning is more than going through our home, it also involves going through our wardrobe and making sure were ready for the warm weather quickly approaching. As a mom your warm weather wardrobe is focused more on your children than yourself. This year I decided to take a peek at my Spring wardrobe and quickly learned that being pregnant and nursing for the past four years has limited my current wardrobe. Knowing that I’d never voluntarily go on a shopping spree for myself, my husband stayed firm in his position that I needed updates to my current fashion collection. As luck would have it, I received some information about Boscov’s Spring collection and decided to indulge in a little mommy shopping.

Shopping with three little kids is a challenge in itself, doing it with a brain injury just adds a little more pepper to the chaos. My husband and I packed up the kids and ventured to our local Boscov’s department store, which happens to be at our local mall. One of the best parts was the fact that we could access the store directly from the parking lot, eliminating the need to venture through the entire mall. Even if I wasn’t brain injured and could withstand the lights and excess stimuli of a mall, drudging through with three little kids would be torture.

Having never visited a Boscov’s in the past, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect outside of my sister-in-law telling me I would find really cute stuff and wouldn’t spends a fortune. I had an idea of what I was looking for, but of course needed to check out the departments to see what they were offering. Besides the fact that they literally offer everything from appeal, shoes, and accessories, to home decor, appliances, and furniture, we could have easily made an entire day trip (which is exactly what happened) picking up items for everyone in our family, including the necessities for around the house without ever leaving the store!

Our first trip was to the apparel section to see how my wardrobe could potentially expand. My must-have list including: new shorts, cute shirts, spring/summer dresses (for every day wear), plus I was feeling adventurous and wanted to try a romper. I started in the section specific for the spring/summer dresses. They had an abundance of dresses from every day to formal and included designers like Say What, A. Byer, Poof!, Almost Famous, and Derek Heart, among many others. I was able to find a dozen styles and colors I liked ALL in my size! Next adventure to the rompers which also included various styles from strapless to spaghetti strap to sleeveless! I’m happy to report, I officially have my first romper for the warm weather! I was also able to snag new material shorts, casual tanks, skinny jeans, and my first pair of ‘Wanna Betta Butt?’ shorts!

After heading out of the apparel department, we ventured over to check out the shoes! The shelves were filled with top brands like Crocs, Sketchers, Rampage, Rocket Dog, New Balance, Sperry, and more! I was able to snag a cute pair of casual boat shoes, perfect to wear with my new Spring pants.

I completed my fun day of shopping with a trip through the Accessory department to check out the handbags. I was so excited to see the New York Yankees purses in Dooney & Bourke’s MLB line and the latest of Betsy Johnson’s collection!
