I’ve learned a lot about about my personal health and wellness over the past couple of months of quarantine. For the first time in a long time, I sat down and dove into a new diet system outlined in the book Always Eat After 7 PM by Joel Marion and created a long term lifestyle change.

My biggest concern going into quarantine was getting stuck with the dreaded “quarantine diet”. Similar to the “freshman 15” I endured nearly twenty years ago as a freshman in college, I saw the “quarantine 15” creeping up on many doorsteps. I decided to take control of my quarantine diet by choosing a diet that could easily become a lifestyle. Always Eat After 7 PM made meal planning simple to ensure even the busiest moms, professionals, or entrepreneurs would be successful!

The biggest and most surprising change I’d adapted in my diet is intermittent fasting! I was able to incorporate IF (Intermittent Fasting) almost seamlessly. Marion explains:

Intermittent fasting really shines when it comes to improving the hormones that directly affect your hunger, blood sugar, and metabolism. One is insulin. IF combats insulin resistance, meaning that it helps your body use insulin more normally, thereby lowering your diabetes risk and boosting your metabolism.

Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance. Moving forward, I’ll definitely continue IF as my diet lifestyle! Here are some of Marion’s additional tips:
